 Sedum hispanicum, also called as Spanish stonecrop, Sedum andersonii, Sedum antiquum, Sedum aristatum, Sedum armenum, Sedum boissieri, Sedum glaucum, Sedum heptapetalum, Sedum hispanicum f. durabile, Sedum hispanicum var. glaucum, Sedum hispanicum var. planifolium, Sedum hungaricum, Sedum longibracteatum, Sedum orientale, Sedum pallidum, Sedum puberulum, Sedum sexfidum, Sedum wightmannianum, Sedum witmannii, is a species of the genus Sedum. This species was described by Carl Linnaeus in 1755. Sedum hispanicum is native to Southern and central Europe, Balkan Peninsula, Turkey, northern Iran, Caucasus Region, Lebanon, Palestine, naturalized in Japan. It is found growing in cracks between rocks on dry limestone slopes at elevations of 300-1100 meters above sea level. It is an erect or ascending annual, sometimes biennial or perennial which reaching 5-15 cm tall with small sterile shoots at base and sub-succulent to woody, terete stem. The leaves are alternate, linear to oblong, semi-terete or flat, 4 - 20 mm, glabrous or more rarely glandular-hairy, green or glaucous green.
