At the time of sowing it is recommended to put the seeds in a sandy mixture either based on perlite or river stones moistened for two months in the fridge (process known as cold stratifiation), then remove the seeds and sow them less than 1cm deep on a mixture that drains well in a bright-sheltered and warm place. Germination is irregular and usually begins in a couple of months, it is recommended to chime the seedlings when they have several pairs of leaves to individual pots and gradually expose them to the sun to harden the seedlings.
