Phaseolus lunatus: Phaseolus lunatus, or Lima Bean, seeds should be soaked in water overnight before sowing. Plant the soaked seeds about 1 inch deep in well-draining soil after the last frost date. Keep the soil evenly moist, and germination should occur within 7 to 14 days.
