Germination of

Drosera sessilifolia

Snap Tentacle Sundew: Dewy Pine, Sundew Plant, Drosera, Sticky Plant

Drosera sessilifolia

Drosera sessilifolia seeds require a moist and humid environment to germinate. Sow the seeds in a pot or seed tray filled with a well-draining soil mix, such as a mix of peat moss and sand. Cover the tray with a plastic bag to create a humid environment and place it in a warm, brightly lit area. Keep the soil moist by misting it with water when necessary. The seeds should begin to germinate in 1-3 weeks

Some of plants may have very have specific germination requirements that may not be covered in these general instructions.

Many seeds require pre-treatment before sowing which we try to list here when we can, but this information may not be present here.  Germination times and germination temperatures are to be a guide only.  Many factors can DRASTICALLY affect this.

It's always a good idea to research the specific germination requirements from multiple sources for each plant before attempting to grow them from seed.
